Educational Program

Building Financial Judgment Through Real Markets

We teach people how to think about money differently. Not quick wins or shortcuts, but frameworks that work across decades of actual market conditions.

Why Most Investment Education Misses the Point

Here's what bothers us about typical financial courses. They promise formulas. Follow these steps, buy at this signal, sell at that threshold. But markets don't work that way, and neither does building wealth.

What actually matters? Learning to recognize patterns without memorizing rules. Understanding how businesses create value over years, not quarters. Developing patience when everyone around you is panicking or celebrating.

Our program focuses on judgment. We look at real companies, actual market cycles from 1980 through 2024, and the messy decisions investors faced without hindsight. You won't find guarantees here. You'll find tools for thinking clearly when money is on the line.

How the Program Actually Works

Three phases over nine months, starting October 2025. Each builds on the previous one. Classes meet twice weekly in Tournai, with additional study groups and online resources.

1

Months 1–3

Market Reality

We start with what actually moves markets. Not theory, but the forces that created past cycles and will shape future ones.

  • Economic indicators that matter
  • Market psychology and crowd behavior
  • Historical case studies from Belgium and European markets

Months 4–6

Portfolio Construction

Building something that can survive various market conditions. Risk management, diversification that actually works, and position sizing.

  • Asset allocation frameworks
  • European market opportunities
  • Risk assessment methods
  • Long-term position management
3

Teaching Methods That Actually Stick

We've tried different approaches over the years. Some worked better than others. Here's what we settled on after watching hundreds of people try to learn investing.

01 Case Study Immersion

Every week, we dissect real investment decisions from the past 40 years. The Belgian banking crisis in 2008. Tech bubbles. Energy transitions. You see what investors knew at the time and what they missed. No retroactive genius allowed.

02 Simulation Practice

We run multi-week simulations using historical data. You make decisions without knowing what comes next, then we fast-forward and discuss outcomes. The goal isn't being right. It's understanding why you decided what you decided, and whether your process holds up under review.

03 Peer Review Groups

Small groups of four or five meet between classes to challenge each other's thinking. Someone proposes an investment thesis. Others pick it apart. You learn as much defending your ideas as you do questioning others. These groups often continue meeting years after the program ends.

04 Mental Models Workshop

Monthly sessions focused on thinking tools borrowed from other fields. Psychology, game theory, probability, systems thinking. How do these frameworks apply when you're deciding whether to buy, hold, or sell? We build connections between abstract concepts and concrete investment situations.

Next Cohort Begins October 2025

We accept 24 participants per session to maintain quality discussion and individual attention. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at our Tournai location, with optional Saturday workshops once monthly.
